Matthew Miller

Matthew chairs the Nabe’s Board of Directors and is a general management executive with expertise in strategic planning, business development, contract negotiation, and marketing communication for start-ups and large companies. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts and later earned his M.B.A. from UCLA. Matthew has lived in Potrero Hill since 2004 and is spearheading the Nabe’s marketing and fundraising efforts.
Paul Byrd

Paul is a Creative Director, founder of 13 Layers, and a community advocate. He has worked on award-winning projects in print, illustration, film production, and AI-driven creative solutions, collaborating with brands like Google, Intel, and AAA. His San Francisco-based initiatives projects include DPW Cleaner Greener, Visitors Bureau of Travel, and the Olympics bid production. Paul has been deeply involved in community advocacy, previously serving as a parent leader at Achieve Academy and a board member of Education for Change Charter Schools in Oakland, CA. As a board member of the Nabe, he will focus on various aspects of marketing, including development of its video content, social media presence, and visual branding.
Ann Griffin

Ann is a CPA with over 20 years of experience in public and private accounting. She has lived in Potrero Hill since 2006 and provides guidance to the Nabe’s finance director on the non-profit’s tax reporting and annual audit.
Patty Jaundzems

Patty worked as a Head Start teacher in Marin City and with the Peace Corps in Brazil after getting her degree from SF State. She has lived in Potrero Hill since 1975 and acts as the Board’s secretary.
Stephen Krulewitz

As a 20-year resident of Potrero Hill, Stephen brings extensive technology expertise to the Potrero Hill Neighborhood House board. With experience as an engineer and manager at Google and Airbnb, plus an entrepreneurial background as co-founder of a venture backed startup, Stephen offers a valuable blend of technical knowledge, innovation, and leadership. At the Nabe, Stephen will focus on modernizing the technological infrastructure to enhance community impact.
Rosalie Lack

Rosalie Lack has more than 15 years of leadership experience working on digital initiatives at the University of California (UC) and global organizations, including eight years managing projects with partners in Africa and the Middle East. Rosalie has a Master’s degree in Information Management from UC Berkeley and a Master of Studies in Law from UC Law San Francisco. She has lived in Potrero Hill since 2003 and will be helping with grant writing and community engagement activities.
Hirsh Shah

Hirsh is a business strategy and executive management leader for early-stage companies building climate-friendly infrastructure. He is supporting the Nabe’s financial and operational planning efforts. Hirsh has lived in Potrero Hill since 2020.
Mike Shaw

A San Francisco native and former professional surfer, Mike is an accomplished filmmaker who has earned critical acclaim for the emotional depth and narrative power of his video work. Mike previously held leadership roles at Google and YouTube where he spearheaded initiatives that redefined digital content creation. Mike's work for the Nabe will focus on two areas: developing video content to broaden marketplace awareness about the organization and fundraising.
