Black History Month Celebration
Annually in February | Julia Morgan Ballroom
Free | All Ages Welcome
Each February, the Potrero Hill Neighborhood House ("The Nabe") hosts a joyful and inspiring Black History Month Celebration, an annual gathering that honors the richness of Black culture, history, and community. This free event features live performances, student showcases, soul food, and storytelling that uplifts voices from the past and present.
Highlights often include interpretive dance, cross-cultural performances, student-led tributes to Black heroes, and thought-provoking presentations that celebrate the depth and diversity of Black heritage beyond traditional narratives. A shared soul food meal brings the community together in conversation and connection.
This event reflects The Nabe’s deep commitment to unity, education, and inclusive celebration, strengthening bonds across generations and cultures in the Potrero Hill neighborhood.
