Operations Manager
The Potrero Hill Neighborhood House (the “Nabe”) is a Black-led, multi-purpose, multi-generational community center in continuous operation for over a century. Since its inception in 1907, the Nabe has responded to the ever-changing needs of the diverse population in San Francisco and maintains a special commitment to the southeast sector communities. Our mission is to serve those most in need from the cradle to the grave, with an emphasis on youth and education.
This role is on-site at the Nabe located at 952 De Haro St., San Francisco, CA. This is a 20-hour per week position, 5 days per week.
Under direct supervision of the Executive Director, the Operations Manager will:
Manage event bookings as a top priority, which includes operating an event management tool, facilitating site visits, interviewing potential clients, collection of fees and contracts via the tool, assigning staff, verification of compliance with Nabe and City policies, and all necessary correspondence
Inform employees regarding Nabe policies and procedures, including all updates and changes
Receive visitors at reception and provide information to the public about Nabe services and activities
Answer and redirect telephone calls to the appropriate departments
Organize and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
Receive and review for compliances all staff reports
Process employees request for health benefits, vacations, sick leave, etc.
Assist in maintenance of equipment and facilities, including operation of copy machine
Purchase office supplies / maintain supply log
Provide routine office assistance to Nabe staff
Assist with fundraising planning and execution
Requirements
Highly organized, detail-oriented
Good tech skills to operate the event management tool and Google Workspace
Excellent time management skills
Problem solving skills and ability to multitask
Customer service focus while prioritizing the Nabe’s core programming
